• Country

  • The country must be from the Americas, Asia, the Iberian Peninsula, the Greater Middle East and Oceania. Transcontinental countries are also allowed.

  • You can change your playing country anytime except in case of winning an edition. In both cases you must play with your current country for one more edition.

• Performers

  • Only the manager have the final say over whether a performer is eligible to represent a country or not.

  • The performer must have a verifiable and legitimate connection to the country they represent: 

    • Been born in that country. 

    • Having the citizenship of that country. 

    • One of their parents is from that country.

  • If you choose a duet or band, at least one member has to be connected to the country you're playing with.

    • You can only send songs from a duet or band from the period the person related to your country was part of that duet or band, songs released before or after that person was in are not eligible for you to send. 

    • You can only send a song from a band or group when the person connected to your country is one of the performers.

  • This shouldn't be a rule, it is common sense, but if you know the country you’re playing with have a big music industry and plenty options to choose from, please avoid borrowing artists from other countries even thought you can borrow them.

  • The performer MUST be alive.

    • In case of bands or groups, songs released before a member's death are not allowed.

  • If two countries choose the same performer, the one who sent it first takes it and the other has to choose another one.

  • You must wait 1 edition to send an artist again. In cases of band members releasing songs as solo acts the rule will not apply because they are considered a different act. But of course you will have to wait 1 edition to send that solo act again.

  • Only a winning artist is allowed to return the following edition to defend their title.

• Songs

  • The song must be submitted only during the submission period. Songs sent before the submission period will not be accepted.

    • The song must be submitted ONLY via the Google form available for song submissions.

  • Players are encouraged to stage their own national finals. National finals can be held before the submission period.

  • The song may be performed in any language.

  • Instrumental songs (without vocals) are allowed.

  • The song must be at least 2 minutes and no longer than 7 minutes.

  • The song must be submitted as video (YouTube, Vimeo, Veoh, Dailymotion, etc).

  • The song must not have been performed at any Eurovision Song Contest final or semifinal, or any Junior Eurovision Song Contest, American Song Contest, ESC Canada, ESC Latin America, Hispavision and Intervision. This also applies to the songs that were supposed to compete at the cancelled 2020 Eurovision Song Contest.

  • Songs from national finals are allowed but just after the national final has ended.

  • Cover versions/remixes of songs that have been previously performed at any ASAM Song Festival, Eurovision Song Contest, Junior Eurovision Song Contest, American Song Contest, ESC Canada, ESC Latin America, Hispavision or Intervision are not allowed.

  • After you have submitted an entry you can’t change it.

  • Songs before year 2000 are not allowed.

  • Song made with artifical intelligence (AI) are NOT allowed. 

  • Fanmade remixes or mashups are NOT allowed.

• Players

  • There's a limit of 51 players.

  • A maximum number of 26 players may compete in the grand final of ASAM Song Festival. If there are more than 26 players two semifinals will be held:

    • Format #1 | If we get 27 to 31 players, 9 countries will qualify from each semifinal (18) for a total of 19 countries in the grand final.

    • Format #2 | If we get 32 to 36 players, 10 countries will qualify from each semifinal (20) for a total of 21 countries in the grand final.

    • Format #3 | If we get 37 to 41 players, 11 countries will qualify from each semifinal (22) for a total of 23 countries in the grand final.

    • Format #4 | If we get 42 to 46 players, 12 countries will qualify from each semifinal (24) for a total of 25 countries in the grand final.

    • Format #5 | If we get 47 to 51 players, 13 countries will qualify from each semifinal (26) for a total of 27 countries in the grand final.

  • A player can compete with only one country. If we find out a player is cheating they will get banned permanently from the contest.

  • If a player is disqualified for not voting, they will lose their country.

• Voting

  • Voting is done in the "Extended Eurovision" style (20-17-14-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1) for the grand final. For the semifinals the style may vary.

  • You can’t vote for the country you are playing with.

  • You must use the voting forms provided to send your votes. You must sumbit a full accurate rank of all competing songs, from your most favorite all the way to your least favorite.

  • In case the voting forms aren't working send your votes to the contest's email: asamsongfestival@gmail.com

  • After you have sent your votes you can't change them.

  • Players must not reveal their votes until after the final results have been published.

  • In case of semifinals, players must vote ONLY in the semifinal they are competing. The host country player must vote in both semifinals but this may not be the case depending on how many automatic qualifiers we have in the grand final.

  • Every player must vote. Failing to vote on time in the semifinals or grand final will result in disqualification and one-edition suspension. The rule applies to both, finalists and non qualifiers. 

  •  Players who fail to vote on time on three (3) occasions, will be permanently banned from the contest.

  •  There will be no extensions to the voting deadlines. Extensions will be granted ONLY to players that request extensions at least 24 hours prior to the deadline a provide valid reasoning for needing the extension.

    • The extension will ONLY apply to the players who made the request.

• ASAM Awards

  • The voting to choose the winners of the awards is mandatory.

  • If a player (finalist or non-qualifiers) fail to vote in the final and has won an award, the player will not receive the award.

• Winner and results

  • The player who wins must choose the host city, presenters, and a venue. The winning player can submit a sub logo to go along with the main logo of the contest. 

    • If the winning player fails to send the information for the following edition, the manager will decide the information instead.

  • If two or more countries receive the same number of points, the higher ranking will go to the country with the highest amounts of points from the televote.

  • If there is still a tie, the consideration will be given to the number of "20 points/12 points" received. If necessary, the number of "17 points/10 points" received will be considered, and so on down to "1 point."

• País

  • El país debe ser de Asia, las Américas, la Península Ibérica, el Gran Medio Oriente y Oceanía. Países transcontinentales también son permitidos..

  • Puedes cambiar tu país en cualquier momento excepto en caso de ganar una edición. En ambos casos tienes que jugar con tu país actual por una edición más.

• Intérpretes

  • Solo el administrador tiene la última palabra sobre si un intérprete es elegible para representar a un país o no.

  • El intérprete debe tener una conexión comprobable y legítima al país que representa. 

    • Haber nacido en ese país. 

    • Tener la ciudadanía de ese país. 

    • Uno de sus padres sea de ese país.

  • Si eliges un dúo o grupo, por lo menos un miembro tiene que estar conectado al país con el que estás jugando.

    • Solo se puede enviar canciones de un dúo o grupo que sean del periodo en la que la persona relacionada a tú país fue parte de ese dúo o grupo, canciones lanzadas antes o después que esa persona estuvo en el dúo o grupo no son elegibles para tu enviar.

    • Solo puedes enviar una canción de una banda o grupo cuando la persona relacionada a tu país es uno de los intérpretes.

  • No debería ser una regla, es sentido común, pero si sabes que el país con el que juegas tiene una industria musical grande y muchas opciones de donde escoger, por favor evita escoger artistas de otros países aun cuando los puedes enviar.

  • El intérprete DEBE estar vivo.

    • En caso de bandas o grupos, canciones lanzadas antes de la muerte de un miembro no están permitidas.

  • Si dos países optan por enviar el mismo artista, el que lo envió primero permanecerá con él y el otro país tiene que elegir otro cantante.

  • Debes esperar 1 edición para enviar un artista otra vez. En casos de miembros de grupos sacando canciones en solitario la regla no aplica ya que serían considerados un acto aparte. Pero por supuesto tendrás que esperar 1 edición para enviar a ese solista de nuevo.

  • Solo un artista ganador puede regresar a la siguiente edición para defender su título.

• Canciones

  • La canción debe ser enviada durante el periodo de envío de canciones. Canciones enviadas antes del periodo no serán aceptadas.

    • La canción debe ser enviada SOLO a través del formulario de Google disponible para el envío de canciones.

  • Los jugadores pueden hacer sus propias finales nacionales. Las finales nacionales pueden llevarse a cabo antes del periodo de envío de canciones.

  • La canción puede ser en cualquier idioma.

  • Canciones instrumentales (no vocal) están permitidas.

  • La canción debe ser de al menos 2 minutos y no más de 7 minutos.

  • Luego de haber enviado tu canción no la puedes cambiar.

  • Canciones antes del año 2000 no están permitidas.

  • Canciones hechas con inteligencia artificial NO están permitidas.

  • Remezclas hechas por fanáticos o "mashups" no están permitidas.

• Jugadores

  • Hay un límite de 51 jugadores.

  • Un máximo de 26 jugadores que pueden competir en la gran final de ASAM Song Festival. Si hay más de 26 jugadores se celebrarán dos semifinales:

  • Un jugador puede competir solo con un país. Si se descubre que un jugador está haciendo trampa será expulsado permanentemente del concurso.

  • Si un/a jugador/a es descalificado/a por no votar, perderá su país.

• Votación

  • La votación se realiza en el estilo de "Eurovisión Extendido" (20-17-14-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1) para la gran final. Para las semifinales el estilo puede variar.

  • No se puede votar por al país con el que estés jugando.

  • Debes usar los formularios de votación para enviar tus votos. Debes someter una clasificación completa y precisa de todas las canciones compitiendo, desde la que más te gusta hasta la que menos te gusta.

  • En caso de que los formularios de votación no estén funcionando envía tus votos al correo electrónico del concurso: asamsongfestival@gmail.com

  • Luego de haber enviado tus votos ya no puedes cambiarlos.

  • Los jugadores no deben revelar su voto hasta después de los resultados finales hayan sido publicados

  • En caso de semifinales, los jugadores tienen que votar SOLAMENTE en la semifinal en la que están compitiendo. El país anfitrión tiene que votar en ambas semifinales pero esto puede no ser el caso dependiendo de la cantidad de clasificados automáticos tengamos en la gran final.

  • Todos los jugadores deben votar. No votar a tiempo en las semifinales o en la gran final resultará en descalificación y suspensión por una edición. La regla aplica a ambos, finalistas y no clasificados.

  •  Los jugadores que fallen votar a tiempo en tres (3) ocasiones, serán suspendidos permanentemente del concurso.

  •  No habrá extensiones a los plazos de votación. Las extensiones se otorgarán SOLO a los jugadores que soliciten extensión al menos 24 horas antes de la fecha límite y que proporcionen una razón válida para necesitar la extensión.

    • La extensión SOLO aplicará a los jugadores que la soliciten.

• Premios ASAM

  • La votación para elegir a los ganadores de los premios es mandatoria.

  • Si un jugador (finalista o no-clasificado) no vota en la final y ha ganado un premio, ese jugador no recibirá el premio.

• Ganador y resultados

  • El jugador que gane debe elegir la ciudad anfitriona, los presentadores, y sede. El jugador ganador puede enviar un sub logo para que acompañe al logo principal del concurso.

    • Si el jugador ganador no envía la información para la proxima edición, el administrador decidirá esa información.

  • Si dos o más países reciben el mismo número de puntos, la clasificación más alta irá al país con el mayor número de puntos del televoto.

  • Si todavía hay un empate, se tendrá en cuenta el número de "20 puntos/12 puntos" recibidos. Si es necesario, el número de "17 puntos/10 puntos" recibidos será considerado, y así hasta llegar a "1 punto".
