The ASAIL workshop series and interest group serves as a platform for researchers and practitioners working on AI for semantic processing of legal information. Its goals include:

• Organising regular peer-reviewed workshop events for presentation and discussion of research and practical implementations of approaches to the evaluation and processing of legal information across different formats (such as, but not limited to: text, images, and sound).

• Facilitating communication and collaboration among academic researchers as well as practitioners from industry, government, and the public sector, and other interested individuals and organisations

• Providing an entry point into the research field and community

ASAIL is affiliated with the International Association of Artificial Intelligence and Law (IAAIL). The first workshop was held at the 2015 ICAIL international conference followed by successors at each subsequent ICAIL conference (and the Jurix 2020 international conference).
