The Virginia Chapter of the American Statistical Association is excited to announce its annual meeting, which will take place at George Mason University's Fairfax Campus in Fairfax, VA, on Friday, October 30, 2026. We are honored to have Dr. Ronald L. Wasserstein, Executive Director of the American Statistical Association, as our keynote speaker.
We are currently accepting abstracts for consideration of oral and poster presentations, which will also be held during the plenary session. Abstracts may focus on current and novel topics in statistics, biostatistics, machine learning, data science, AI, or other related fields. Of particular interest are topics that will appeal to diverse audiences and are closely related to the Conference’s theme of "Statistics in an AI-Driven World: Building Knowledge, Community, and Impact". ASA and Chapter members, industry professionals, academic faculty, and both undergraduate and graduate students within the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Washington Metropolitan Area are especially encouraged to submit an abstract, though all are welcome to attend.

There are a limited number of invited talk slots. Individuals who are not accepted for the invited sessions program are encouraged to convert their proposals into poster presentations.
