I am completing my PhD at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem this year, under the supervision of Tomer Schlank and Yoel Groman. I am currently seeking postdoctoral positions.
My research connects homotopy theory, differential topology, and symplectic geometry, with an emphasis on making geometric invariants accessible to computation. I have developed spectral sequence tools for flow categories and homotopical refinements of symplectic capacities, drawing on Morse and Floer homotopy theory. I also study symplectic embeddings through symplectic homology, using differential topology to develop computable invariants and investigate their geometric applications. Alongside my current research, I am interested in exploring bordism categories and topological quantum field theories, particularly their connections with homotopy theory and differential topology.
Feel free to reach out to me at: arye.deutsch@mail.huji.ac.il.
