Projects/ Research Topics Undertaken
Currently working in Purdue University, USA on "Development of novel interfaces for batteries and Super capacitors using Ion soft landing of atomically precise molecular clusters" in Julia Laskin group.
Currently working on "Design and development of high density cathode and anode materials from spent Li-Ion batteries". The recycling of Li-Ion batteries is a step ahead in acheiving circular economy considering the exponential increase in demand of batteries in coming years and the limited resources available along with health hazards related to battery disposal.
Currently working as, CSIR-SRF, on “Synthesis of Metal sulphides and mixed metal sulphides for energy applications”. PhD Reg – August 2018.
Worked as a Project research fellow in CSIR- Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar, India in a project entitled: “Synthesis of oxide dispersive steel for nuclear cladding materials” funded by Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), Government of India from 2016-2018.
Worked on a Project on "Synthesis of TiC and TiN from ilmenite slag for environmental and thermal barrier coatings". The synthesis included large scale plasma processing of ilmenite slag received from Indian Rare Earth Limited. The thermal plasma reactor can process Kgs of samples within minutes.
