Dr. Arvind Kumar

He currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India. Prior to this, he served as an Assistant Professor at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India from 2020 to 2022.

He earned his Ph.D. in Microwave and RF in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, India, in 2019. He also completed a Master's degree (M.Tech.) with a specialization in Electronics from Pondicherry Central University and obtained his Bachelor's degree (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Govt. Engineering College Ajmer, affiliated with Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, Rajasthan in 2012.

He has achieved notable recognition as one of the "Top 2% Scientists in the World (all fields)," according to a survey conducted by Stanford University. This recognition is based on factors such as citations, h-index, and co-authorship adjusted hm-index, for three consecutive years, spanning 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Furthermore, he has received several awards and fellowships, including the MeitY Fellowship, DST Young Scientist Award in 2018 and 2022, and the EuCAP-2019 Student Grant in Poland, Europe. He has also been the recipient of various travel grants from the Government of India, including DST ITS in 2018 and 2022, MeitY Travel Support, and CSIR Travel Grant in 2019 and 2023.

In recognition of his research contributions, he has been selected for the DST SERB International Research Experience program for the year 2022-2023, supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. 

In addition to his academic and research achievements, he actively serves as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals, including IEEE AWPL, IEEE TAP, and various other IEEE Journals.
