Important Announcement

The Russellville Hamfest scheduled for March 5th, 2022 has been canceled. The Arkansas River Valley Amateur Radio Foundation is working towards having an outdoor tailgate or swap meet in the fall.

The daily number of new COVID-19 cases are on the rise every day. Many venue owners and operators are cautious about future bookings and engagements. Facility managers are in the "Wait and See" mode for their decisions.

This decision was not made lightly. Given the uncertainty of COVID-19, this was the only prudent decision that could have been made. Other Amateur Radio related events have already started canceling their 2022 plans. The latest was the International DX Convention in Visalia, California.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience.

ARVARF Business Meeting

January 18th, 2022 at the Western Sizzlin in Russellville has been CANCELLED!

It is with great sadness that I am announcing the cancellation of the January 18th, 2022 ARVARF Meeting at the Western Sizzlin in Russellville.

This decision was not made lightly. Several ARVARF Members have already told me they were not going to be attending. Other clubs and organizations across the state have also canceled their meetings. The Arkansas Diamond Amateur Radio Club just canceled their January meeting. Many schools are shifting back to Online Classroom instruction.

Currently the number of COVID-19 cases in Arkansas are increasing on an average of 10,000 per day. There were over 11,000 new cases just yesterday, Wednesday, January 12th, 2022. Considering the Health and Safety of all ARVARF Members, canceling the January meeting was the only prudent alternative.
