Dr. Arup Kumar Pal

Dr. Arup Kumar Pal is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad, India. Before joining this institute, he was a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Jamshedpur, from April 2011 to December 2011. He received his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Govt. College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampore, India, in 2006. He did his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad in 2011. He has more than twelve years of teaching and research experience. He has contributed over 100 research papers in several journals and conference proceedings of national and international reputes.  His main research interest includes Blockchain, Data Compression, Multimedia Security, and CBIR.  He has organized several FDP in the area of Image Processing and Cryptography. He has served as an Advisor Committee member and Technical Programme Committee (TPC) member in various conferences/workshops etc.
