Dr. Arun Khalkar is an accomplished educator, researcher, and STEM mentor, with a distinguished academic journey and a deep passion for advancing scientific understanding in the fields of nanotechnology, solar energy, and engineering physics.
He holds a Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), South Korea, where he was awarded the prestigious BK-21 (Brain Korea-21) Fellowship for his outstanding research contributions. His academic pursuit has always been driven by curiosity, discipline, and a vision to contribute meaningfully to sustainable technologies.
Currently, Dr. Khalkar serves as an Assistant Professor of Engineering Physics in the Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE), Pune, India. With over 15 years of teaching experience across national and international platforms, he integrates global insights into his classroom and research environments.
As a dedicated solar cell materials researcher, Dr. Khalkar specializes in photovoltaic materials, thin-film solar cells, and battery technologies. He has authored over 10 peer-reviewed publications in reputed international journals and presented his work at more than 15 national and international conferences, including:
