About

Hi! Welcome to my website. I am Arunima Das, a Prime Minister Research Fellow (PMRF Cycle 11, August 2023). I am a Joint PhD Scholar in Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India and La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia.

My research focuses on the design, synthesis, and analysis of bio-inspired frameworks for surface modification, which primarily includes nucleobases and amino acid derivatives owing to their self-assembling property and multiple available sites for non-covalent interactions and metal coordination. These bio-inspired materials are biocompatible and environmentally benign, which boosts their utility in the development of advanced functional materials. My research aims to fabricate novel molecular motifs and explore their distinguished polymorph structures to generate a vast range of fine-tuned custom surfaces and to establish modern strategies for the development of electronic devices, analyte detectors, biomedical devices, and other functional materials.
