I need AOS 6.4.1.0 for aruba 650 mobility controller device to connect it to aruba ap 205, i have 1 aruba 650 mobility controller and 8 aruba ap 205 units, please help to send ARUBA OS 6.4.1.0 file for both types of devices via email to bajaklangit@gmail.com because I failed to download through the web support aruba network, some time I tried to login or register in order to enter the download page but failed. thanks.

I have an Instant cluster consisting of one IAP-345 and a bunch of IAP-305s I am trying to upgrade. Currently the virtual controller shows it's running 8.4.0.5_xxxxx firmware. When I hit the 'Check for New Version' button on the web interface it kicks back a message saying "Received no response from server".

My plan was to remove Master controller from production to perform upgrade and while Standby controller will take over to provide wireless service. After which, I will remove Standby for upgrade and Master to provide wireless service. Final, will put standby back to the original position.

I want to upgrade the controllers firmware and I have a period of 30 minutes downtime. Can I hit upgrade button on the master first and then the backup controller a couple of seconds after? Will the master then come up first and take back ownership of all of the APs?

With AOS8, the update process changes slightly. It is possible to run different versions of code on controllers and the Mobility Master (VMM). This makes updating a lot easier because you do not have to plan for a long downtime, just for a firmware update.

Instant On APs are automatically rebooted with the new version of the Instant On software image during a software upgrade. When an AP goes down during the reboot, the wireless clients connected to that AP are either moved to another AP in the Instant On site or completely dropped from the network. Though this scenario is expected, keep in mind that a firmware upgrade can cause major disruptions for the clients in your network. This is limited to the time-period that the APs take to reboot, which is 3-5 minutes. We recommend that you schedule this activity for when you don't expect users connected to the network actively.

The problem is that the AP is not what sent the discovery request to the management IP address. The controller reports a broadcast discovery request from a VLAN that is not configured on the controller. This typically occurs when trunks allowed VLANs and did not restrict them to wireless VLANs.

I opened a ticket with the wireless vendor and (very quickly) received an answer. The MTU for CAPWAP traffic between the access points and the controller is hard set by the controller to 1500*. With these sites connected via IPSEC, that was going to cause some fragmentation due to the overhead that IPSEC was going to add onto the traffic going between sites.

* It appears from the support documentation for this particular wireless vendor that the MTU size should be 1450 by default which should take into account at least some overhead and explains why these access points were working fine until now. The firmware update seems to have changed this to 1500.

i have 3 SSID with the 2 SSID DHCP are using wireless controller DHCP itself and another 1 Guest SSID is using the DHCP at Fortinet Firewall but all the SSID have the same problem on new machine/laptop and laptop been joined before but away from controller for some days will have such problem which joined the particular SSID and get "limited" sign, is very hard for to confirm this is the cisco wireless dhcp issue because another Guest SSID DHCP server is located at Fortinet which i think unlikely 2 DHCP Servers having the issue.
