Dr. Felix Kwabena Donkor is a post-doctoral fellow at the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (UNISA), South Africa. Felix is co-lecturer for the green economy and ecotoxicology modules at the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES), UNISA. He is also on the curriculum transformation committee at UNISA. Felix also serves on the joint African-Union (AU) and European Union (EU) HAQAA (Harmonisation of African Higher Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation) Initiative. He is a member of Future Earth’s Knowledge Action Network on the Food Water Energy Nexus and the Early Careers Network. His research interests include climate adaptation, the green economy, sustainable rural livelihoods, and indigenous knowledge systems. He serves as deputy of the South African Adaptation Network. His hobbies include cycling, swimming, jogging, writing and music.

Prof. Semenya Khomotso: is a Senior Lecturer- University of South Africa. Department of Environmental Sciences. She designs, teaches, and revises modules up to and including NQF Level 8, by applying UNISAs Open-Distance-Learning Model. She has taught courses on green economy, eco-toxicology and leads the curriculum transformation committee. Prof. Semenya also compiles tutorial material by incorporating current trends in the discipline into tutorial material. She has been at the forefront of quality assurance ensuring quality of tutorial material by adhering to quality standards regarding the design, content and publishing requirements for UNISAs tutorial material.

Alberto F. Mavume is Physical Oceanographer with main interests in tropical cyclone atmosphere-ocean interaction, its climatology and observed impacts on marine, coastal and terrestrial ecosystems. This includes but not limited the fields of climate change, energy, environment and disaster risk as well as planning, policy and strategy formulation. He is Associate Professor in Climatology and Disaster Risk Management and Director of Post-Graduate Course (PGC) in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation at Faculty of Sciences - Eduardo Mondlane University (FCUEM). As Director of PGC he is responsible for fostering interdisciplinary research and teaching on climate change and disaster concerns at UEM, in collaboration with other faculty members and invited researchers and lectures. He is currently affiliated with Academy of Sciences of Mozambique (ACM) and Sustainable Sea Association (AMS). He has publications on tropical cyclones, ocean energy, disaster risk and climate change.

InĂŞs M. Raimundo is a Human Geographer with an interest in migration and inclusive growth, food security, climate change and forced migration in Mozambique. She is Associate Professor and Head of Department of Academic Assurance, at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique. She has served as executive member of the International Council for Science-Regional Committee for Africa. In 2019 she received appreciation from Global Challenge Research Fund and UK Research and Innovation for her contribution to UKRI International Development Peer Review College. She has published numerous papers on migration and food security. Also, she has supervised several PhD and Masters students.

Mitulo Silengo is a Senior Lecturer at Mulungushi University in Kabwe, Zambia. He is formerly the Director of the Disaster Management Training Centre at the University, a position he held from 2009-2015. He has training in Systems Thinking especially as it relates to natural resources management. He has also consulted widely as a Social Impact Specialist in diverse projects. He is currently involved in teaching and research in in issues dealing impacts on climate change on community livelihoods and resilience. He facilitates courses in Environmental and Disaster Studies, Corporate Governance and Environmental Sustainability and Organization Development and Change Management. His research interests are in impacts of climate change on livelihoods and promoting resilience of communities to impacts of disasters. Prior to his current position he served as Academic Director for the Leadership for Environment and Development Southern Africa (LEAD-Southern Africa); an organization that promotes leadership and strengthens ecological and social resilience of ecosystems and communities to the impacts of natural and human induced hazards. He also served as Dean of the School of Built environment at Copperbelt University, Zambia. He is a member of the African Union (AU) - Africa Science and Technology Advisory Group for Disaster Risk Reduction (Af-STAG).

Nene-Lomotey Kuditchar is a senior member at the Department of Political Science, University of Ghana. He is an instructor of several courses including Development Studies, Issues in Africa’s International Relations and Environmental Politics. He is also a coopted instructor at the Institute of Statistical Social and Econmic Research (ISSER) and the Legon Center for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD), all of the same University. In addition, he is a founding member of the University of Ghana Mining Research Group. His interests include African political ecology, African animism and the politics of artisanal mining.

Ms. Eunice Boruru Ongoro is a lecturer and research fellow at the Institute for Climate Change and Adaptation, University of Nairobi, where she has taught and been involved in research since 2013. She is a Sociologist by training. She has research experience on Climate Change, Gender and Livelihoods and Social Policy. During her time at the Institute for Climate Change and Adaptation, she has been involved in many research projects on climate change and conflicts in Northern Kenya, Green Economy mainstreaming across the Kenyan counties, climate change and food security among others. Her current research interest is on gender and climate change adaptation, livelihoods and food security.
Eunice is an independent researcher who appreciates and focuses her energy on working with rural communities. She has co-authored over ten research papers and book chapters on the area of climate change with other researchers published in international and local journals. She is keen on applying transdisciplinary approaches in solving complex research problems on human and environment.
Eunice is a PhD candidate at the Department of Sociology and Social Work, at the University of Nairobi, her research and thesis focuses on adoption of agricultural technology for food security and rural livelihoods. She is about to complete her PhD studies.

Dr. Humphrey Agevi PhD holds a PhD in Environmental Biology (Moi University), Msc. Environmental Biology and Bachelor of Education Science (Biology and Chemistry option) both from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST). His research interests revolves around climate change science with emphasis on climate change mitigation and adaptation options. He is a lecturer teaching both undergraduates and postgraduate students in the area of environmental Science and Natural Resources Management. He has been invloved in a number of multidisciplinary research in the area of climate change key among them the UNEP/AGRA funded project in western Kenya. Currently he is undertaking a research to help determine how functions and operations within MMUST contributes towards carbon management and sustaianble university. He is also invloved in the review of curriculum and development of new programmes in his field of expertise. Dr. Agevi is a Key contributor to the development of several national and international peer-reviewed journals, books, conference papers, proceedings and presentations. He is also a Reviewer of several journals including: Journal of Health and Environmental Research (JHER), Journal of Tropical and Sub-Tropical Ecosystem and Journal of Environment and Sustainability.

Dr. Mbui is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Chemistry, University of Nairobi where she has been teaching Physical and Environmental Chemistry for twenty years at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. She also supervises student projects at all levels. She is also an Associate at the Institute of Climate Change and Adaptation, UoN, where she teaches and supervises postgraduate students. She has a BSc (UoN), MSc (UoN) and PhD (UoN) in Physical and Environmental Chemistry. She was a postdoctoral researcher for one year at the University of Cape Town, South Africa where she did research on Computational Chemistry and Molecular Dynamics. She also has an MPhil in Science and Technology Studies (Research Uptake and Utilization Option) from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. She has published more than 40 papers in peer reviewed journals. Her research interests include, waste water remediation, bioenergy production, computational Chemistry and modeling, nanotechnology and its applications in the various fields (medical, agricultural, environmental sanitation, etc), biosensors and biomarkers, especially those concerned with early stage cancer detection. She is married with six children, and has a passion for mentoring people at all levels – students, parents and peers. She is keen on motivating the girl child and runs personality development sessions to enhance self-awareness. She enjoys dancing and listening to music.
