Chris has been drawing from a early age and art & design was a subject he got to grips with when he started school. In high school he took it further with higher education. Originally sticking to the traditional methods of creating drawings and art work with pencil, pens and paper, times changed and Chris switched to digital art in late 2022, but does drift back to the traditional methods every now and then.
Chris always wanted his own studio, so in 2023 he made Arty Duck Studio this was just for posting videos and images of cartoons and illustrations on social media platforms. Check out my illustrations here
At the start of 2025, I was gifted a 3D printer—but I didn’t want to follow the usual path of printing toys and figurines that are so common in the 3D printing world. I wanted to create something meaningful, something unique. With some background in computer aided design (CAD) for video games in my teens and early 20's I had some knowledge on where to start making own models.
One day, during creative block, I was chatting with my partner about how best to make use of the printer. It was suggested, “Why not try the war memorial in Leek town centre?” That simple question planted a seed, So Arty Duck Studio 3D models was born. Check out the 3D modelss here
Why the name Arty Duck? My oldest daughter loves ducks and I thought it would be a nice little nod to her as she is also very artistic as well.
