Terms of Service

☆ General Terms

✦✧  You, as the client, are expected to read and understand the listed TOS and the commission prices. The following information is important to note before commissioning.✧✦

• You hereby allow Arty Bone/Strawbean to handle the process of sketching, illustrating, and designing the final illustration agreed upon by both parties. 

• Both the client & Arty Bone/Strawbean must maintain an active flow of communication, preferably through the following socials: Tumblr, Instagram, & Twitter/X.

☆ Payments & Revisions

• Payments are UPFRONT to avoid scams.

• Payment must be completed within 48 hours (2 days) or else the commission will be discarded. 

• Additional Payments will be made if new designs are added and agreed upon by both parties. Failure to pay for the additional payments results in those additional payments being discarded. Such payments that fall under additional pay are the following;

  • PER Extra Revisions +$10 USD

  • PER Extra Characters +$10 USD

  • Detailed Background +$10 USD

  • Commercial Fee

✦✧ Refund policy: NO refund after the start of a commission, refunds are allowed BEFORE I start. Once I start, it's nonrefundable.✧✦

☆ Time Duration & Delays

• The estimated time for the commission process to be completed ranges from 1 to 2 weeks, if not, up to 1 month. Depending on how detailed, the commission was taken upon between the client and the artist.

• If, on the off chance, there is a delay, I, as the artist, will communicate with the client and give notice of the delay and ensure to have an estimate on when I’ll complete it. 

☆ Use & Intellectual Property Rights

✦ ✧ Personal or Commercial use will be provided in the description of the product of purchase. Please ensure to follow what it states.✧✦

• You may use the illustration received for personal use, including but not limited to; 

  • Profile Pictures/Avatars, Wallpaper for devices, Personal Website/Profile Display

• If the client wants to use the illustration for commercial purposes and the commission displayed allows the use of commercial, the total price will be the following;

  • Commercial fee for the majority will be 250% of the base price

  • Commercial fee for merchandise will be 350% of the base price

☆ Reference & Communication

• The client is responsible for providing references.

  •  If it's an Original Character, send at least 2 references of the character. It is recommended to have one of the references be flat colors of the character to ensure an accurate representation of the character in question.

  •  If it's a character from a fandom, tell me their full name and where the character is from. References are appreciated; at least one reference is required. 

• Expect a response from me within 24–48 hours to respond to the initial order. You can send me a direct message through Tumblr, Instagram, & Twitter/X. Those are my preferred methods of communication.
