My story

Brazil and Belgium: Places To Call Home

Growing up in Brazil and Belgium, I was raised in two distinct cultures which taught me the importance of diversity in thought and ideas from early on.

United States: A Place of Future Endeavors

I had the ambition to study in the United States and that is why I decided to attend high school at the Hun School of Princeton in Princeton, NY. This allowed me to apply to colleges, get accustomed to a new culture, and meet new people.

I was accepted at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where I am majoring in B.S. Mathematics and Economics with a specialization in Computer Science. I quickly joined several organizations on campus such as Delta Sigma Pi, Bruin Asset Management, Bruin Consulting, MoneyThink, Bruin Actuarial Society.

Most recently, I have been selected as a William F. Sharpe Fellow at UCLA which represents campus role models interested in pursuing a career in business. I have also joined the Benjamin Graham Value Investing Program at UCLA, co-founded by William E. Simon Jr., to further pursue my passion for investing.

To push for greater diversity and to dive deeper into investing, I am part of the Hispanic Capital Group where I act on the Board as the Chief Investment Officer.

Professional Background

At UCLA, I started off my professional experience at a boutique investment bank, Cappello Global, in Los Angeles, CA. Enjoying the capital raise and transaction exposure, I decided to continue exploring the financial industry by joining a private equity firm, M80 Partners, in Brussels, Belgium.

To continue honing my technical skills, I joined the M&A team in the investment banking division at Credit Suisse, New York City, NY. There, I enjoyed working on three sell-side M&A transactions across three different verticals.

In Summer 2022, I will be joining Blackstone in New York City, NY, to continue following my curiosity and my excitement to learn more.
