We started our nonprofit to bring art and music to a small town in Texas. While searching for Perky Palette’s forever home, we discovered the Garza Theatre, a beautiful old building that had been empty since 2011. This theatre has brought joy to many people across the South Plains, and we can’t wait to help it shine again. Since taking ownership, we’ve loved hearing stories from so many community members who remember its magic.
The theatre is full of history, but it also needs a lot of repairs. The roof has to be replaced first. After that, we will move on to electrical work and plumbing. It’s a big project, and we’re taking it one step at a time.
We know this will take hard work, time, and support—but we believe it will be worth every minute. Our dreams for this property are huge. Once restored, the theatre will be a place where we can host art classes, bring in artists from around the world, offer music concerts, hold events, teach theatre classes, put on plays, and create many new memories. Our goal is for this space to bring joy, hope, and inspiration to everyone involved.
Together, we can bring the Garza Theatre back to life and make it a creative home for generations to come.
