About Us
This organization was created to connect the worlds of medicine, art, and STEM. We provide a safe space for healing through therapeutic values of art and extend our reach to marginalized communities, those facing adversity, kids, and anyone by partnering and connecting with local non-profits, schools, and friends. Our mission is to help people cope with stress, including those with special needs, by utilizing the healing potential of creativity and compassion. By connecting to our community, we aim to impact lives and foster resilience in our society positively. Based in Winston-Salem, the city of Arts and Innovation, we also aim to serve underserved communities by providing free art classes and kits to make the joy of art more accessible and free to all.

Hi! My name is Veda, and I am the creator of the Non-Profit ArtSpark!. I created this club to connect my passion for art and medicine through art therapy. I also love the performing and visual arts. My favorite style of art is black and white, because it really shows the power of a singular pen. I enjoy the stress-free environment and the free will that art gives me and I hope to do the same for others!

Hey hey! I’m Nina! I go to Atkins high school! Ever since I was little and could pick up any drawing utensil I would just draw my heart away. I very much enjoy art and music, I find a way to appreciate all sorts of arts too. Art allows me to express my inner self and display the stories and characters I make.

Growing up I would always go outside and draw sunsets, plants, buildings and almost anything I could lay my eyes on. I love art because you can be as messy as you want and still make something beautiful. I enjoy making my surroundings as colorful as possible!

Hi! My name is Wren and I go to UNC Chapel Hill! I am super involved in tech theatre, specifically set design, so I love 3D or scenery art! Other art I enjoy would be painting, doodling, or repurposing objects to make something new. Anything with a hot glue gun and some cardboard will keep me busy for hours!

I find my inspiration through the outdoors, music, or by searching the thrift store shelves. I love starting my projects without a set plan and then seeing where it takes me.
