About Me

Me and My Goals

Hi! My name is Ava Reece.

I am from Queen Creek Arizona, originally born in Chandler. I have 2 siblings, Haylee and Carson, and 3 dogs: Comet, Blue, and Lily. My favorite hobbies include drawing, writing, gaming, and worldbuilding.

My goals as an artist are to continue to hone my skills in both anatomy and color theory, alongside being able to juggle my hobby with my schoolwork up at NAU. I hold art near and dear to me, so I really want to continue what I do best, in my opinion.

Previous Artworks

Dinner is Served

An ink block print that I had originally made for Drawing and Painting. It depicts a person getting ready to dine on carrots and onions.

Mannequin

One of the main projects in Drawing and Painting; I was tasked to pose a figure in interesting ways and draw the negative on black paper. Challenging!

My Stuff

The second piece I ever did with oil paints for Advanced Drawing and Painting. Also, one of the first still-life's that I ever did.

Skull

I was originally tasked to make something with a skull model and a living thing for Advanced Drawing and Painting. One of my proudest acrylic paintings, I especially enjoy the rocks.

Fifteen

A piece of digital fan art for the fifteenth doctor, played by Sex-Education actor Ncuti Gatwa. It is a very rough sketch, meant to practice on poses and darker skin tones.

Vase

One of the first pieces that I ever made in Intro to Art, and thus high school. I wasn't tasked to make this, but rather had extra time in class and I tried to "wow" the teacher.

Poison

A personal piece of mine depicting one of my favorite metal singers, Till Lindemann. The purpose of this was to practice using color palettes.

Mummy

One of the pieces that I used for University Club of Phoenix's Black and White competition. It spoke on society's expectations to shame older people into looking younger; I used my mother as the subject.

Knight

A practice on posing and composition using my own original character. I tested out new brush on the program that I use for this, and I love it.
