Northern Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies invites submissions for its inaugural issue. Deadlines for submissions 01 May 2026.
We welcome researchers, practitioners, and creative scholars from across disciplines to contribute work that explores change, transformation, and new ways of looking at established fields of research.
Founded in Sheffield, England, the Northern Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (NJMS) is a digital, peer-reviewed publication dedicated to supporting innovative and interdisciplinary scholarship within the Arts and Humanities. The journal aims to create space for new perspectives and approaches to research, particularly those that rethink how academic knowledge can be communicated and shared.
At a time when academic, social, technological, and environmental landscapes are rapidly shifting, NJMS seeks to foster innovative thinking, interdisciplinary dialogue, and
experimental approaches to knowledge production. We welcome contributions that challenge established perspectives, develop new methodologies, or reconsider familiar
topics through fresh analytical lenses.
Submissions may engage with the theme of change in a variety of ways. We particularly encourage work that:
● Reconsiders established theories or paradigms within a discipline
● Develops new methodological approaches or interdisciplinary frameworks
● Reflects on emerging cultural, technological, or social transformations
● Explores innovative modes of communicating research
● Bridges academic research with creative or practice-based outputs
**ALTERNATIVE FORMATS MAY BE CONSIDERED, HOWEVER PLEASE EMAIL njmseditors@gmail.com BEFORE SUBMISSION TO DISCUSS YOUR PROPOSAL.**
