Born in the winter of 1985, Kim Ki-Kyung is a pianist who seamlessly bridges the classical tradition with contemporary sensibilities. He graduated at the top of his class from Seoul Arts High School and went on to earn both undergraduate and master's degrees from the Korea National University of Arts. Furthering his studies, he completed a master's program specializing in 19th-century Romantic music at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin and pursued doctoral studies at the Stuttgart University of Music and Seoul National University.

Kim has garnered numerous accolades on the international stage, including First Prize at the 2007 JoongAng Music Competition, the Gold Prize at the KBS New Music Competition, the Grand Prize at the Berlin Steinway Prize, and First Prize at the Lions Club Improvisation Competition in Germany. He has also been recognized at prestigious competitions such as the Valtidone International Piano Competition in Italy.

His performances have graced some of the most esteemed venues in Europe, including the Mendelssohn Museum in Berlin, the Cortot Hall in Paris, the Konzerthaus Berlin, and the Berlin Philharmonic Instrument Museum. He has collaborated with major orchestras such as the KBS Symphony Orchestra, the Korean National Symphony Orchestra, and the Suwon and Incheon Philharmonic Orchestras. Beyond traditional concert settings, he has also taken part in innovative projects such as Classic Revolution at Lotte Concert Hall, Thursday Symphony with the Cheongju Philharmonic, and cinematic concerts featuring Love Letter & La La Land, bridging the gap between classical music and contemporary audiences.

As a recording artist, he has released several albums, including Chopin Etudes, Piano Omnibus, Frederick, lettre d’automne, and Lullaby Preludes. He also contributed as a composer and music director for the German documentary film Hello I Am David.

Currently, Kim curates and performs weekly concert programs at STUDIO301, a cultural hub in Seoul Forest, where he continues to explore new possibilities in classical music and beyond.
