Caro Pepe
Caro Pepe è un'artista e muralista argentina con base a Berlino.
Dopo diversi anni passati lavorando nel settore pubblicitario come art director sia a Buenos Aires che a Madrid, ha deciso di dedicarsi alla sua arte a tempo pieno. Con questa idea in mente si è trasferita a Berlino nel 2012. Berlino è stata il luogo di lancio della sua carriera, da allora ha viaggiato per tutto il mondo dipingendo per strada ed esponendo in diverse città attraverso l'Europa, il Sud America, gli Stati Uniti e l'Asia.
L'elemento centrale della sua arte è un'esplorazione del mondo interiore e della complessa natura delle emozioni. Attraverso le sue peculiari donne "con un solo occhio", Caro Pepe sottolinea il concetto di parzialità: come e cosa una persona sceglie di vedere definisce la sua percezione della realtà.
I suoi personaggi delicate portano un sottile simbolismo e sono, il più delle volte, sospesi nell'assenza di sfondi e tempo, aiutando a ritrarre la profondità di un'emozione verso quella realtà costrutta.
Il suo lavoro è inquadrato attorno all'intimità, è una veritÀ sussurrata.
Caro Pepe is an argentinian artist / muralist based in Berlin.
After several years working in advertising as an art director, in both Buenos Aires and Madrid, she decided, it was time to work on her art full time. With that decision in mind, she picked up and moved to Berlin in 2012. Berlin was the kick start of her career, since then she has travelled the world painting on the streets and exhibiting in several cities through out Europe, South America, USA and Asia.
Her body of art is an exploration of the inner world and the complex nature of emotions. Through her distinctive "one eyed" women she underlines the concept of partiality: how and what an individual chooses to see defines his/her perception of reality.
Her delicate characters carry a subtle symbolism and are, most
of the times, suspended in the absence of backgrounds and time, helping to portrait the depth of an emotion towards that constructed reality.
Her work is framed around intimacy, it's a whispered truth.
