Maria Elena Ferrari (AIPAN)
Nata nel 1969 lavora come artista naturalista e biologa coniugando in una professione le sue due grandi passioni: Disegno e Natura.
Autodidatta per quanto riguarda le competenze artistiche, si è specializzata in fauna selvatica con una predilezione per l'avifauna che ama ritrarre a grafite, tempera e acquerello.
Ha al suo attivo numerose pubblicazioni a carattere naturalistico-scientifico, dal 2019 è anche autrice e pubblica i suoi sketchbook con la Pandion Edizioni.
E' stata selezionata tra i finalisti del “BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year 2012 competition” e nel 2013 e 2015 tra i finalisti al “Wildlife Artist of the Year – DSWF”, Londra. Questo le ha dato l'opportunità di esporre per due anni in una esposizione collettiva internazionale nella prestigiosa Mall Gallery di Londra.
Espone i suoi Taccuini al “Rendez-vous du Carnet de Voyage” a Clermont-Ferrand e al Festival “Carnet de voyage en Provence” a Lourmarin, Francia e in Italia a Matite in Viaggio, Mestre. Attualmente ricopre la carica di Vicepresidente dell'AIPAN, Associazione Italiana per l'Arte Naturalistica, associazione senza fini di lucro che promuove l'Arte Naturalistica. Da oltre vent'anni tiene corsi di disegno naturalistico per avvicinare le persone alla natura e all'arte.
Born in 1969 she works as naturalisti painter and biologist, combining her two greatest passions together: art and nature.
She is a self-taught artist, specialized in drawing the wildlife (i.e. wild birds) with graphite, gouache and watercolors.
Her illustrations are published in book and scientic magazine and since 2019 she has been an author herself, publishing her sketchbooks by Pandion Edizioni.
She was selected among the finalists for “BBC Wildlife Artist of the Tear 2012” and for “Wildlife Artist of the Year – DSWF” in 2013 and 2015. Consequently, she had the chance to show her work in the prestigious Mall Gallery of London for two years.
She exhibited her Sketcbooks at the “Rendez-vouz du Carnet de Voyage” (Clermont-Ferrand) . by the Festival “Carnet de Voyage en Provence” (Loumarin) and “Matite in Viaggio) (Mestre).
She is the vice-president of AIPAN (Italian Association for Naturalist Art).
She has been a teacher of naturalistic drawing for more than 20 years, promoting art and nature among the people.
