Mumbai based painter, Piyali Sarkar has been honing her skills in contemporary and classic style figurative paintings with the vision of capturing important moments in life through paintings.
Piyali Sarkar is a self taught contemporary Artist. After completing her graduation in Bachelor in Computer Application she moved to United States of America and followed her passion . She completed several Art Courses in USA and online course from UDEMY . Recently she completed online course from Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) through COURSERA and got 90 percent . Presently she is doing MA- Masters of Art in Drawing and Painting in second year and planning for a Phd in Visual Art. She is a successful Art Instructor from nine years.
She works on figurative painting capturing different moments of life and creates different stories through paintings in her own style. She works on Acrylics and Watercolor. She likes to create Rich and bold colors for every piece of her art . Last year her 50 watercolor paintings were sold out from the India Art Festival .
Her new series " Old Classic India " was selected for the SOLO show in ACADEMY OF FINE ART ,Kolkata and BAJAJ KAMALNAYAN ART GALLERY, Mumbai, September - October ,2022.
She also has deep interest in Indian Folk Art.
Actor Chiranjeet Chakraborty , Photographer Atanu Paul , Artist Sri Atin Basak inagurated the show in Kolkata Academy of Fine Art.
