Healthcare 4.0 refers to the fourth industrial revolution in healthcare, characterized by the integration of advanced digital technologies such as blockchain technology, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data analytics, into the healthcare sector within smart cities. This integration is aimed at improving the efficiency, accuracy, and personalization of healthcare delivery, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes. Key areas of application for Healthcare 4.0 include telemedicine, personalized medicine, predictive analytics, and the automation of routine tasks.
Cities built on the basics of interconnected services and infrastructures using state-of-the-art information and communication technologies and electronics to automate services, improve quality of life, increase efficiency of public activities, and provide digital connectivity can be termed "smart cities." The primary objective of smart cities is to connect and integrate every possible service and sector, such as utilities, energy, healthcare, transportation, governance, and security, onto digital platforms.
The project aims to operate within the framework of the fourth industrial revolution, or Industry 4.0, which consists of a natural evolution involving production-related aspects, relating to new communication resources, data processing, and manufacturing approaches, expanding the possibilities of increasing industrial productivity, resource management, and firm performance, with broad positive impacts in a number of areas. Using developments in microelectronics, computing, and data communication, this process enables new software and artificial intelligence resources to be continuously associated with platforms and production systems, creating the conditions for the automation of prediction, monitoring, and planning and thereby optimizing production.
