2020-09-01: Reviewed the syllabus, created a Google site with link to a GitHub repository, and studied the IEEE writing style
2020-09-08: Downloaded GHDL and read chapter 1-5
2020-09-15: Reread chapter 5 for more understanding and played around with GHDL and GTKwave
2020-09-22: Read till chapter 8 and thought of an example: soda vending machine (finite state machine)
https://people.engr.ncsu.edu/efg/210/s99/Notes/fsm/
Learned hpw the finite state machine works by looking at the soda vending machine and reading that article
Finite state implies that there are only a limited amount of options when checking to see what the machine will do. For example, the soda machine can either say not enough money inputed or your change is and drop the soda.
2020-09-29: Played around with VHDL and outputted GTK waves and am starting to understand how VHDL works and the different output values
Worked with VHDL and half adder to give the different outputs for the variables a. b, o, c. Still in the experimental phases of learning.
2020-10-06: Created my group for the labs. Started learning about the different labs and particulary the first lab
2020-10-13: Completed lab 1. Look at Lab 1 tab to see specifics.
2020-10-20: Completed lab 2. Look at Lab 2 tab to see specifics.
2020-10-27: Researched for the final project of what I should do.
2020-11-03: Started Lab 3. Working on it.
2020-11-10: Completed lab 3. Look at Lab 3 tab to see specifics.
2020-10-17: Completed Lab 4 and 5. Look at the respective tabs for specifics.
2020-10-24: Completed Lab 6. Look at the respective tab for specifics.
2020-12-01: Started and completed my part of the final research paper for the group.
2020-12-08: Finished the research paper and put it in the Final Report tab.
