Description:

Welcome to the Tropical Florals class

This workshop invites participants to explore the vibrant beauty of tropical flowers using acrylic or gouache paint. Designed for both kids and adults, this class will focus on the lush, colorful world of tropical flora while teaching fundamental painting techniques. Students will learn how to paint exotic blooms, lush greenery, and dynamic compositions, all while experimenting with color theory, brush techniques, and layering. By the end of the workshop, participants will have created multiple pieces of tropical-themed artwork, perfect for bringing a burst of nature's beauty into their homes.

Class Objectives:

Teach foundational acrylic or gouache painting techniques through the theme of tropical florals.
Explore color theory and its application in painting bright, vibrant blooms.
Guide students through the process of creating layered compositions featuring tropical flowers and leaves.
Foster individual creativity and confidence in using expressive brush strokes and textures.
Encourage students to develop their own style while interpreting the beauty of tropical flora.

Learning Outcomes:

Materials

Acrylic or gouache paints (bright tropical colors like pinks, oranges, yellows, greens, and blues)
Various brushes (flat, round, detail, and fan brushes)
Canvas boards or watercolor paper
Palette knives (for texture work)
Paint palettes and water containers
Aprons and paper towels

Additional Notes:

No prior painting experience is required.
Participants are encouraged to bring their creativity and enthusiasm to class.
Students should wear clothes they don't mind getting a little messy.

Session 1

Introduction to Acrylic/Gouache Painting & Tropical Florals

Task:

Overview of materials and tools
Introduction to tropical flowers (e.g., hibiscus, bird of paradise, orchids) and their shapes
Basic color theory: Mixing bright, bold colors
Practice exercises: Brush strokes, blending, and creating petal shapes
Project: Simple tropical flower or leaf painting

Task:

Working with texture to create the depth and dimension of tropical blooms
Layering techniques to paint multiple flower types in a composition
Project: Lush tropical floral bouquet, focusing on petal layering and leaf textures

Full payment is required before commencement of classes.

Refund Policy

If an attendee cancels prior to 24hrs before the commencement of a booked class/session then a 50% refund will be given. If cancellation is requested within 24hrs of commencement then no refund will be given. If a class/session is cancelled then an option is available to either receive a full refund or credit is given to attend any other class/session provided by Art Haus at the same value of the initial class/session.

Kebijakan pengembalian dana

Jika peserta mengkonfirmasi pembatalan kelas 24 jam sebelum kelas diselenggarakan maka akan mendapatkan pengembalian 50% dari dana yang sudah dibayarkan. Jika peserta melakukan pembatalan dihari kelas diselenggarakan atau setelah kelas dilaksanakan maka peserta tidak mendapatkan pengembalian dana. Apabila terjadi pembatalan kelas oleh penyelenggara maka akan mendapatkan pengembalian dana penuh atau dana dapat ditukarkan untuk kelas yang lain dengan nilai yang sama.
