wP6-Extreme Room Makeover

You have been asked to produce an ad for an interior design firm, ID Design (yes create a logo).  They want an ad that shows  Before and After images to show what they can do with your house.  Trouble is they haven’t gotten any jobs yet.  So you will need to off load the originalroom.jpg from the File Cabinet.  Fully redecorate the room by 

• 1-"painting" the walls (filling a selection with color),

• 2-add "wallpaper" to at least one wall (filling a selection with a pattern then transforming the selection to fit the wall),

• 3-modifying the windows (the view, add curtains, move/change windows),

• 4-change the carpet (fix it and change the color or add new carpet/rug, hardwood flooring, stone, etc.),

• 5-add at least 3 pieces of furniture or large appliances (get off the web),

• 6-and finally add a piece of artwork to the walls.  The sky is the limit.  Add an appropriate headline and layout to finish the job.  Fun!

• Letter size vertical (portrait) letter size @ 150ppi RGB -single page magazine ad

Keys:  shadows, perspective, clean selections (no fringing).

Important tools: Edit>Transform>Distort, Brush>Soft set at 15% opacity (for shadows), Fill, Selecting Tools
