wP1-Road Sign Pictograms

Download the Illustrator file RoadSignProblem.ai from the class D2L site.  Be sure the layer the signs are on stays locked, then create a new Layer above it to work on. This should already be done for you.

Specs:

Based on the type of sign, produce a pictogram that visually communicates the message. You may only use Black, no other colors.  You may not use letters or words.  Sketch a few ideas before you start. I will be checking your sketchbooks as well on Thursday before the due date.  All work on this must be original, no clip art.

Keys: 

Think about it a bit before jumping on the first thing that comes to mind.  Keep it simple and ask your self  "would I see this sign communicating what's ahead?"

Also it is helpful to have worked with the Shape Builder and Pathfinder tools/palette.

You will need some sketches of your ideas shown to me on Thursday and I will give you input. This is the role of the Art/Creative Director and a part of the Design Process.
