Manipulating images is one thing but creating your own from scratch is quite the other. Today we will introduce the technique of coloring in and shading your own line art.
As with everything Photoshop there are numerous ways to go about stuff but I've found this the easiest and effective way here Coloring Line Art. Start from the very beginning with me as I go through the basic inking and coloring, using the Coloring Line Art start.png I have posted on the class D2L site under Content. Use the supplied Wacom and refer the above site for coloring/shading ideas.
If you doodle anime or other cartoon-like characters, then here is your chance to learn to bring them to life!

This is where old school meets new school. The techniques for creating wondrous works of art are the same, just the tools have changed. Today we will be trying our hand at creating a digital painting. Follow this tutorial . The eye is the Holy Grail of painting, learn to master it and the rest is easy. Be loose and don't get tight or uptight. Just do it! If you can use the Wacom as it makes it much more natural when doing something like this.
