Florent Houessou is a Beninese visual artist whose practice explores memory, childhood, identity and resilience through textile collage and mixed media.

Working with African fabrics, recycled plastics and other reclaimed materials, he constructs figurative compositions in which bodies, gestures and fragments of material become carriers of individual and collective memory.

His work moves between intimacy and collective experience, between inherited cultural forms and the realities of contemporary life.
