I am currently a student in the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture, and Design at Indiana University Bloomington. I am a Studio Art major and want to primarily work in photography. My most recent series is "Hair Therapy" which depicts the struggles that black women go through in regards to their hair. I braid my own hair and have for over 5 years now. My relationship with my hair has been complicated since I was young. I have had texturizers and perms, I have bleached my hair, shaved my sides, and worn it natural, I usually wear braids. My hair is one of the most definitive features existing as a black woman.
