Originally from Damascus, Syria, Adnan at a young age developed a deep appreciation for Medieval Islamic architecture, with its arches, geometric forms, and organic ornaments. After some travel, Adnan moved to Rome to earn his master's degree in architecture and design from La Sapienza Università.
He decided to settle in Rome after falling in love with the culture, the beauty, the architecture, and the history of another ancient city. He lived in Rome for thirteen years.
Adnan recently moved to the Bay Area to continue his work as an artist. He is also a yoga teacher at PRANA Yoga + Wellbeing and spends his free time paragliding.
Beauty in natural landscapes and in architecture tend to be the main inspiration for Adnan's art.
