Who I am ...
I am an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Geography, Yerevan State University in Armenia. With a Doctoral degree in GIS and Cartography, I have more than 12 years of experience with GIS, Remote Sensing, Geo-data Management, NSDI, and INSPIRE. With over 10 years of experience in the commercial environment and working on donor-funded international projects, I'm a highly experienced and skilled capacity-building and training expert, and lectures at the university on GIS and remote sensing. My technical skills also extend to setting up hardware and software environments for geo-applications. I'm also a Commission Member at the ICA Commission Cartography for Early Warning and Crises Management (CEW&CM) and an individual member of the International Society of Digital Earth. From March 2019 to February 2020, I was the Head of the Cartography and Geodesy Department at the Cadastre Committee of Armenia. Countries of work experience include Armenia, Czechia, Georgia, Germany, Moldova, Russia, Ethiopia Sudan, Ukraine, and Tajikistan.
