Students in the Storybook Art class will delve into the world of art learning to understand the elements of art through story books while creating their own masterpieces inspired by the stories we read! Students will use a variety of mediums as they try different techniques which include: chalk, oil pastels, clay, plaster, watercolor and acrylic paint. These young artists will gain confidence as they have fun creating their own works of art!

Students will delve into some of the history revolving around some of the art we study as well as art movements, building a foundation to understand and apply the principles of design. This is a project based class where students will learn to use a variety of mediums as they explore different techniques. Some mediums they will use include: chalk and oil pastels, ceramic clay, plaster, acrylic and watercolor.

In this class, we will explore various types of sketching, painting and mixed media techniques. We will explore the elements of art as well as learn about famous artists from movements such as Impressionism, Fauvism, Cubism as well as many others. Come join us on this fun adventure of growing in our artistic ability and having fun together while we do it!

Let the title of this class speak for itself as students explore their creative side using a variety of mediums and techniques. Students will combine collage, acrylic painting, layering, found objects and more! They will have fun as they experiment without worry over creating the perfect piece as spontaneously dabble in delight doing All Kinds of Art!
