Hello, my name is Carmen King. My past was in the Professional Beauty Industry where I spent over 44 years in product design and development, creating beauty with purpose and passion. For the past 14 years as an in-home designer, I have continued blending beauty, function, and artistry in everything I do. 

As the Art Studio Director at Coleman Crossing, my dedication to art and helping others is at the heart of my work. I have the privilege of guiding artists and teachers while sharing my passion for painting, furniture makeovers, and fabric redesign.  I believe art is not only about creating something beautiful but also about inspiring confidence and encouraging others to discover their own creative potential. 

For years, paper crafting was my cherished hobby, a world where creativity knew no bounds. Then, a simple request to teach ignited a new spark. As a retired great-grandmother who loves teaching and connecting with people, this venture felt like a natural next step. From driver improvement classes to paper crafting workshops in and around Sumter County, Florida, my passion for sharing knowledge has found a wonderful new outlet. I now conduct small group classes, demonstrate to larger audiences, participate in local craft markets, and teach at least one workshop every month. It's an exciting journey, and I'm thrilled to have you here.  

Hi! I’m Barb and from the moment I first held a brush, the world has been my canvas, and faith my guiding light. After a rich journey spanning 25 years as an international architectural watercolor rendering artist, I found a new calling: to awaken the dormant artist within each soul, blending the sacred with the creative.

Creativity, I’ve discovered, is not a gift reserved for a few but a flame waiting to be kindled in every heart. My passion lies in nurturing this spark, watching as it blooms into vibrant expressions of individuality and spirit.

Today, I weave art and faith into a tapestry of prayer boxes and journals—sacred spaces where colors dance with devotion, and every stroke whispers a prayer. It would be my joy to guide you in this beautiful journey of creative faith.

Peggy is a retired hairstylist and former salon owner who has turned her lifelong passion for creativity into the world of crafting. She specializes in repurposing, reusing, and redesigning materials, bringing new life to fabric and a wide variety of mediums. With an eye for detail and a love of hands-on creation, Peggy enjoys exploring fresh ideas and techniques in every project she takes on. 

She’s especially passionate about sharing her skills with others, creating a welcoming and encouraging space for beginners and experienced crafters alike. Hi! My name is Elaine. I’m a Glass Fusion artist at Coleman Crossing, where I enjoy creating and helping others discover the joy of working with glass. 

Before focusing on my art, I served 4 ½ years on active duty in the US Air Force overseas, followed by 11 years in the reserves as an RN. After my military service, I spent 37 years working as a flight attendant which gave me the opportunity to travel and experience much of the world. Now retired and living in The Villages, I’m grateful to spend my time creating, teaching and connecting with others through art.

I’d love to encourage you to come to one of my classes, have some fun, and explore the art of Glass Fusion in a relaxed and welcoming environment. 

Eileen is a passionate One Stroke painting instructor with over 18 years of experience bringing color, creativity, and joy to her students. Known for her beautiful floral designs and easygoing teaching style, Eileen loves helping others discover the fun and confidence from painting one stroke at a time.

Over the years her art blossomed into more than just a hobby - it's a community. Through countless classes and workshops, Eileen has formed lasting friendships and inspired others to explore their own creative sides. 

When she's not teaching you'll find her crafting in every form imaginable, from jewelry art to handmade cards, always finding new ways to tur imagination into something beautiful.

Bobbie was a registered nurse holding her nurses license in every state. She specialized in neonatal, pediatrics, and triage.

In her spare time, she has enjoyed many venues in decorating using both fabrics and paint - from distressing furniture to sewing beautiful window treatments, duvets, and pillows.

Now she has turned her attention to combining her painting talent with her decorator projects. 

Bobbie now shares her talents by inspiring others in teaching classes combining painting, decoupage and resin in many different art scapes and design. 

Carolyn V is a mixed-media artist whose work celebrates nature, sea life, texture, and imagination through one-of-a-kind handmade creations. Working across tile painting, resin art, repurposed keepsakes, Diamond Willow décor, and functional art pieces, Carolyn believes no two creations should ever be alike. Her galaxy-inspired style blends color, movement, and organic beauty into art that feels both personal and timeless.

Driven simply by a love of creating, Carolyn transforms meaningful gems, jewelry, and treasured items into resin keepsakes designed to preserve memories for family and friends. Her artistic work also includes handcrafted Diamond Willow floor lamps, table lamps, painted lampshades, walking sticks, and canes — each piece carrying its own unique character and story. Beyond visual art, Carolyn is also passionate about singing and creating work that brings warmth, beauty, and meaning into everyday life.

Carolyn’s creativity extends into her community service and compassionate outreach. She was honored with the Champion for Children’s Award from Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota for founding a prayer and baptismal shawl ministry dedicated to bringing comfort and care to children and families in need. Her art reflects creativity without limits — soulful, expressive, and always created from the heart.
