Art is often taught through drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, and mark making. Drawing is viewed as an empirical activity which involves seeing, interpreting and discovering appropriate marks to reproduce an observed phenomenon. Drawing instruction has been a component of formal education. Education in the visual art is an oft-ignored area for intervention. Using a multi-disciplinary approach, the Kendrapara based Malatilata Charitable Trust(Regd.) is engaged in supporting newer methodologies of learning and teaching students, with a focus on supporting tertiary art education, we are providing a dynamic educational backbone, we focus on capacity building and opening up gap areas of employment in the visual art sector by establishing Kuntala Kumari School of Art & Crafts at Nasadipur & Mahipal in KendraparaTown. The Art School is affiliated to Odisha Lalitkala Academi which is under Culture department, Govt. of Odisha. Our programmes are built through iterations and added upon to move towards wider impact on visual art employment sector.
