Artists, makers, and creative souls—we'd love for you to be part of Art in Action.
As part of “Keys to the Gallery” through the Tehama County Arts Council, Michelle Carlson and Vicki Potter are curating a new show called Art in Action - an interactive, community art experience that celebrates not only beautiful artwork, but the hands-on processes and the people who create it.
For Art in Action, we’re inviting local artists to exhibit their work and, if you're able, spend some time with us on opening day, Saturday, September 19th, 10 am - 2 pm. Meet visitors, share a little about your creative process, answer questions, or simply enjoy being part of a room filled with creativity.
There's no pressure to "perform." Just come as yourself.
While the exhibit runs, you're also welcome to stop by, bring along a sketchbook, knitting, stitching, watercolor supplies, or another portable creative project, and create alongside visitors while we take care of gallery sitting. During this event, we hope the gallery feels like a welcoming creative space where conversations happen naturally.
We're looking for a wonderful mix of artwork that hasn’t been shown in Tehama County in the past year—from original pieces to prints, cards, handmade books, and other artful treasures that make original art accessible to everyone.
Whether you're an emerging artist or have been creating for decades, we'd love to celebrate your work and help our community connect with the people behind the art.
Let's fill the gallery with creativity, conversation, and inspiration!
