I do pencil drawings that I develop to a varying extent digitally. My pictures are about people, solitary or grouped, often in an urban setting.

I am self-taught. It started when finished work and remembered a modest talent from school days in Nottingham. I wondered if I could find it again and where it would take me.

All that took ages. Application and persistence were key, along with a happy critical eye (not an angry one).

I have exhibited locally in Sheffield in the Cupola and Bessemer2 galleries. In addition I had pictures accepted in at the Ferens Gallery in Hull for their open exhibitions.

What have I found in my work? Nothing I could easily put it into words. It certainly isn’t about cutting edges or hard hitting social or political agendas. It’s quieter, more personal, more everyday.
