Our сurrent projects
On April 25, Christie's, together with World Monuments Fund, opened a selling exhibition "Safeguarding the Irreplaceable". Dedicated to Ukrainian visual art, it combines the works of Ukrainian modernists and Ukrainian photographers.
For the selling exhibition "Safeguarding the Irreplaceable" the collection of «Odesa Parisians» was generously given by Ukrainian avant-garde Foundation, which is supervised by Oleksandr Suslenskiy, Borys Fuksmann, and Andriy Adamovskiy, who is a member of the supervisory board of Art for Victory UA Fund. A part of raised funds will be donated to World Monuments Fund to support vital cultural heritage recovery and preservation in Ukraine.
Peter Doroshenko, Ukrainian-American art critic and executive director of Dallas Contemporary, curated the part of the exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian photography. He commented: "With the start of this war and the humanitarian atrocities it caused, it has become important to demonstrate that Ukrainian art has a long and difficult history."
As part of the 59th La Biennale di Venezia on April 21, a charity auction "Benefit for Ukraine's People & Culture" took place. It was held in celebration of Ukrainian culture, which is currently under brutal attack, to support the safety of Ukraine's citizens and the longevity of its society. The 14 lots generously donated by artists and their galleries raised more than €1.2 million for humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
Special thanks to Maria Prymachenko Family Foundation and Anastasiia Prymachenko for donating Maria Prymachenko's work "My home, my truth", which was sold for €110,000.
Art for Victory UA Fund joined the auction and provided works of Ukrainian artists. The raised funds from the auction will be donated to organizations such as the Appeal of Conscience Foundation, the Maria Pryimachenko Family Foundation, Museum Crisis Center, and Ukrainian Emergency Art Fund.
