“Her Name Is Mother!” is a retrospective collection of paintings which I created in an effort to establish a more profound connection to nature. Through an intimate study of plants and animals, I sought to better understand the intricacies and delicate balance of the natural environment. This close examination resulted in unapologetically realistic imagery that gives viewers a tangible and sometimes uneasy experience. By initiating a connection to living things for both myself and viewers of my work, I aim to facilitate a collective exploration of ecofeminism and ecosocialism while also inviting audiences to contemplate their own relationship with the natural world.
