Multithread ("we," "us," or "our") develops and publishes the virtual reality game Catos VR (collectively, the "Services"). We are committed to protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Catos VR. By accessing or playing the game, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
"Meta User ID": A unique, persistent string of characters provided by Meta that identifies a specific Meta/Oculus account.
"IP Address": A unique string of characters identifying a device on the internet or a local network.
"Headset": The virtual reality device or hardware you use to access and run Catos VR.
"Services" / "Game": Catos VR and any associated multiplayer matchmaking or backend features provided by Multithread.
"Developer User Data" / "User Data": Any data relating to an identified or identifiable user that is collected, processed, or handled by our game.
We only collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide, secure, and maintain Catos VR.
A. Meta User ID: When you log into the game, your Meta User ID is collected and processed through our backend service provider, PlayFab, to securely authenticate and create your player account (your PlayFab/Catos VR account).
B. IP Address: Your IP address is automatically collected and stored within your PlayFab/Catos VR account profile when you connect to our online game services.
C. Gameplay & Technical Data: Basic technical data necessary for game performance, matchmaking, and multiplayer stability may be processed during your gameplay sessions.
We use the collected information strictly for the following administrative, operational, and moderation purposes:
Account Authentication: To identify you within Catos VR, load your player progress, cosmetic items, and maintain your account state.
Game Security and Moderation: Your IP address and Meta User ID are used to enforce our terms of service, issue IP or account bans for cheating or toxic behavior, and maintain a safe environment for all players.
Third-Party Service Providers: We partner with backend and multiplayer platform providers to host and operate our game. These third parties process your data according to their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them:

We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with access to Catos VR.
If you wish to request the permanent deletion of your PlayFab/Catos VR account, your Meta User ID, your IP logs, and all associated personal data from our systems, you may submit a deletion request to us at any time by contacting us via the methods listed in Section 7. Upon verification, we will purge your data from our database, except where we are legally required to retain it.
Our Services are not intended for or directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable legal age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete that information from our servers, terminate the associated account, or revert the account to an underage experience where applicable by law.
Third-Party Links: Our community spaces or external menus may contain links to external websites or applications (such as Discord). We do not control, endorse, or accept responsibility for the privacy practices or content of third-party platforms. Providing information to third-party sites is at your own risk.
Supervisory Authority: If you are located within the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or Brazil, you have the right to lodge a formal complaint with a local data protection supervisory authority if you believe our processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection laws.
Changes to this Policy: We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal compliance. If material changes are made, we will notify players through the game interface or via our official communication channels. Your continued use of the game after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
