Grasping Phenomenal Science

The goal of Grasping Phenomenal Science professional learning system is to support districts in the implementation of the Arkansas K-12 Science Standards including curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

The GPS system is a collection of professional development workshops that support the advancement of science educators along a professional learning continuum (seen below) from awareness, to transitioning, to implementing, and ultimately to sustaining the pedagogical shifts required for three-dimensional science teaching and learning.
