****We will begin reading Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare (ACTS I, II, and III), and go over the presentation on the plot of each act. ****

ACTS I,II,III will be handed out along with their worksheets that go along with each act. Please be sure to always bring these two pieces of material to class every.

We will be finishing up reading Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare while filling out worksheets given on 1/29. You and your group members will come up with a way to explain the plot of your act you were given to read . Presentations will begin on Monday February 5th, 2018.

Continue working on your worksheets and discuss with your group members how you will present the plot of your act on Monday 2/5 to the class. Use the worksheets given to you on Monday that you and your group members have been filling out, these worksheets will help guide you to plan for your presentations.

Elizabethan (Shakespearian) Wedding Research Assignment

There are multiple factors we are doing this research assignment. One of them being that you will learn about a topic that you would have never known about before. Within this research assignment you will learn about interesting and unknown facts that you will want to share with the rest of the class. For this assignment you will be researching and presenting aspects of weddings for historical perspective.

In Order to receive FULL CREDIT you MUST write down three very important things when you find a FACT. Any resource where you found a fact you MUST write down on a SEPARATE SHEET OF PAPER:

1) The name of the Website you find the information on (The title of the webpage).

2) The author (this may be an organization) of the Website.

3) The date it was published.

Now that your group has chosen whose plan is going to be used for this research assignment, we can dive right into the fun stuff. We begin the research process which is where we learn all about that community's process of getting married .

Modern: As a group, select a country or geographic area in the US to research and SIGN UP WITH A TEACHER so there are no duplicates.

1. You and your group members actually have to plan a wedding on a calendar to take place next year! The wedding MUST be planned in the area selected and cite all expenses bases on the average for that area. Begin with a question like the following: "What is the average cost of a wedding on long island?" Use the internet for planners and guides. *** YOU CANNOT GO OVER THE AVERAGE COST IN YOUR PLANNING***
