We are Arrowhead Robotics, a FIRST Robotics Competition Team from Tecumseh High School in Tecumseh, Michigan formerly known as the Cobalt Commanders. Our mission is to develop the skills needed to create the future for our rural area. We do this by building a unique robot, designed to compete in distinct annual competitions. This creates a competitive and innovative environment that provides irreplaceable experiences.
Participating in this activity each year requires a high level of commitment and effort by our team. We do everything ourselves: we fundraise, recruit, design, and build from scratch each year with light-touch guidance from adult mentors. We have six weeks to completely fabricate and build our robot, done entirely by us, the students. This experience is invaluable as it allows us to create innovative solutions to tangible challenges.
We love to share what we do with the community, helping the Tecumseh Youth Theatre build mechanical props, helping fix things at our school, and showing our robot and team at local events and fairs to give back to the community and raise hope and excitement for STEM and the future.
