Arrowhead

Home & School Association

Who We Are

Welcome! The AHSA is a non-profit 100% volunteer organization composed of parents just like you. Any parent or guardian of a student at Arrowhead is a member of our Home & School Association. We are organized into an Executive Board and standing committees to plan our events and fundraising.

What We Do

Our purpose is to create a positive atmosphere for learning through a cooperative effort between administrators, teachers, staff and parents/guardians. We sponsor a variety of activities and programs that provide organized social functions, extracurricular educational programs and a volunteer parent network.

AHSA also uses funds to purchase additional items not allocated by the district budget, but used by our faculty and students such as art supplies, gym equipment, and curriculum enhancement tools.

What We Need

AHSA sponsored programs are not possible without volunteers. We have many opportunities for you to become involved during the school day or at after school events.  Not only does volunteering set a wonderful example for your child, but also gives you the chance to make connections with other parents, meet teachers and staff, and get to know your child’s friends.

How We Communicate

Konstella is a private parent community tool that the all Methacton Home and Schools use. Accessible on both web and mobile, it is our single communication platform that provides parents an all-in-one place for school-wide and classroom events and volunteer opportunities. This tool is also utilized as our School Parent Directory. It is simple to sign up and it’s necessary to be on there if you want to know about our AHSA sponsored events and activities.

How Can You Get Involved

AHSA meetings alternate between the first Wednesday morning and first Monday evening of each month (specific dates & times are on our calendar).  Everyone is welcome! You are a part of our community, and the work we do directly affects and benefits your children. Whether you are looking to just sit in our meetings to be more informed about your child’s school, have the vision to chair a committee and plan one of our major events, or something in-between, there is a space for you to get involved with the AHSA. We look forward to meeting you and hearing your ideas.
