How to get to Alcalá de Henares

(a) from the Airport Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas:

--Bus 824 goes directly from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the airport to Alcalá de Henares (if you arrive at terminal 4, there is a free bus connecting the terminals). It takes more or less one hour and costs 3,40 euros. Here there is a link to the timetable of the bus. The closest stop to the university is Vía Complutense, from which you will have to walk about 500 meters.

--You can also take a taxi from the airport. It will cost around 45 euros. 

(b) from Madrid downtown:

-- cercanías, lines C2, C7 y C8, from the stations of Chamartín, Nuevos Ministerios or Atocha. The ticket can be bought directly at the station. It takes about 45 minutes and it costs 3,40 euros. You can find a timetable at the following link

-- There is a wide range of hotels around the university that you can find, for instance, through a quick internet search.
