If you want a heavy-duty, full-coverage protection system for your 1/7 scale short course truck that absorbs massive impacts without bending, choose ARRMA AR320405; if you need a sleek, precision-machined upgrade specifically designed to stiffen the front end of a 1/10 scale nitro on-road car, choose Lecheer Aluminum Alloy Front. These two parts serve entirely different worlds of radio-controlled driving, and confusing them would be a costly mistake for anyone looking to repair or upgrade their vehicle. The decision isn't about which is "better" in a vacuum, but rather which machine they belong to and what kind of terrain or track surface they are meant to conquer.
• This pick is for owners of 1/7 scale electric trucks who drive off-road and need maximum durability.
• Lecheer Aluminum Alloy Front: Its biggest strength is the high-precision CNC machining and rigid aluminum construction that offers superior aerodynamics and visual appeal for on-road use, with the trade-off being its small size and lack of coverage compared to a full bumper set. This pick is for enthusiasts running 1/10 scale nitro on-road cars who want a direct-fit, corrosion-resistant upgrade.
The ARRMA AR320405 SC Bumper Set is not a subtle accessory; it is a statement piece built for the rough-and-tumble reality of 1/7 scale Short Course racing. This isn't a trim piece; it is a primary impact zone. The sheer volume of material suggests a design philosophy centered on absorbing energy. In the world of electric off-road trucks, where hitting rocks, logs, or curbs at speed is a daily occurrence, having a bumper that can withstand deformation is critical.
That mass is not just dead weight; it acts as a buffer. When a 1/7 scale truck slams into an obstacle, the bumper takes the brunt of the force, protecting the suspension arms and the chassis frame underneath. If you are someone who drives aggressively, crashes frequently, or simply refuses to let a minor collision end your run, this is the component you need. It is built for the user who values survival and longevity over every ounce of added weight affecting acceleration.
However, this bumper is not for everyone. If you are running a 1/10 scale car, this part will not fit, nor does it make sense to try. Furthermore, if your priority is absolute top-speed performance on a smooth carpet track where every gram counts, the extra mass might be a detriment. The "Mehrfarbig" (multi-colored) finish indicates a utilitarian approach to aesthetics, focusing on the rugged look of a battle-scarred racer rather than a polished, monochromatic show car appearance. It is strictly for the electric off-road enthusiast who needs a shield that can handle the abuse of the dirt track.

On the other side of the aisle sits the Lecheer Aluminum Alloy Front, a part that speaks a completely different language. While the ARRMA option screams "durability," this piece whispers "precision." The product description highlights CNC machining as a core feature, ensuring accurate dimensions that guarantee a hassle-free installation on STR 1/10 RC Nitro OnRoad cars. This is not a universal filler; it is a surgical replacement designed specifically for the geometry of on-road nitro models. The dimensions here are compact, measuring roughly 3.15 inches in length, which aligns perfectly with the smaller front ends of 1/10 scale vehicles.
The material choice here is distinctively focused on rigidity and style. By utilizing aluminum alloy with an anodized surface finish, the manufacturer creates a component that resists deformation far better than standard plastic stock bumpers while offering a sleek, roseate appearance. Anodizing is a chemical process that hardens the surface, adding a layer of corrosion resistance that keeps the part looking new even after exposure to fuel spills or outdoor elements. For the nitro on-road driver, who often deals with high RPMs and high speeds on smooth surfaces, the concern is less about smashing into rocks and more about maintaining structural integrity during high-speed cornering and preventing the bumper from flexing under aerodynamic load.
This upgrade is ideal for the enthusiast who wants to replace a flimsy factory part with something that feels solid and looks premium. The ease of installation mentioned in the specs—requiring no special tools for removal or swapping—makes it accessible for drivers who like to tinker with their setups. However, if you are looking for a part that covers the entire front fascia or protects against major collisions, this small, focused piece will not suffice. It is a targeted enhancement for those who value the tactile feel of metal and the visual impact of a custom finish on their on-road machine.
• Best for off-road impact absorption → ARRMA AR320405, due to its larger dimensions and heavier weight designed to absorb shocks from rough terrain.
• Best for on-road precision fitment → Lecheer Aluminum Alloy Front, as it is CNC machined specifically for STR 1/10 nitro on-road models to ensure exact alignment.
• Best for heavy-duty durability → ARRMA AR320405, where the mass and bulk provide a robust shield against debris and obstacles.
• Best for visual appeal and finish → Lecheer Aluminum Alloy Front, featuring an anodized surface that resists corrosion and offers a sleek, uniform color.
• Best for lightweight performance → Lecheer Aluminum Alloy Front, given its significantly smaller size and lighter profile compared to the bulky ARRMA set.
• Best for 1/7 scale electric trucks → ARRMA AR320405, as it matches the scale and mounting points of the Senton Mega platform.
• Best for 1/10 scale nitro cars → Lecheer Aluminum Alloy Front, engineered as a direct replacement for stock bumpers on these specific models.
• Best for easy maintenance swaps → Lecheer Aluminum Alloy Front, which is highlighted for simple installation and disassembly without special tools.
After analyzing the specifications and intended applications, I recommend the Lecheer Aluminum Alloy Front for anyone building or upgrading a classic 1/10 scale nitro on-road car. The precision of CNC machining combined with the anodized aluminum finish offers a level of quality and rigidity that standard plastic bumpers simply cannot match. It transforms the look and feel of the vehicle, providing a sturdy front end that holds up to high-speed runs without flexing. Conversely, the ARRMA AR320405 is the undisputed king for 1/7 scale electric off-road trucks, but it has no place on an on-road machine. If you are working on a classic car setup that demands both style and structural stiffness, the Lecheer part is the logical, high-performance choice.
No, the Lecheer Aluminum Alloy Front is explicitly engineered for STR 1/10 RC Nitro OnRoad cars. Its dimensions and mounting points will not align with the larger chassis of a 1/7 scale truck.
According to the product details, the ARRMA AR320405 is described as "Mehrfarbig," which translates to multi-colored. It does not appear to be available in a single-anodized color scheme like the Lecheer option.
Yes, the product information emphasizes that it is designed for simple installation and disassembly, allowing you to swap or maintain the bumper quickly without requiring special tools.
While physically possible in some cases, the ARRMA bumper is significantly larger and heavier (approx.
