Anamaria RADOI received the Ph.D. degree (Summa Cum Laude distinction) in electronic engineering and telecommunications from the University Politehnica of Bucharest (now, National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest), Romania in 2015, the M.Sc. degree (Excellence Scholarship) from the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Department of Computer and Communication Sciences, Switzerland in 2012, and B.Sc. degree (Valedictorian, 10.00) in electronic engineering and telecommunications from UPB in 2010. Starting 2023, she is Phd coordinator within the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest (UNSTPB).
In 2011 and 2015, she pursued two research internships in the German Aerospace Center (DLR), in the Remote Sensing Technology Institute, where she developed dedicated solutions for SAR imagery and multitemporal image analysis. Between 2012 and 2013, she served as a Teaching and Research Assistant with the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), working on computer vision and image processing related problems. In 2013, she started working as a Teaching Assistant within the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest (UNSTPB). Currently, she is Full Professor within the same faculty and leads various projects related to Earth Observation, computer vision, machine learning, time series analysis and signal/image processing.
She is IEEE Member and acts as a regular reviewer for various journals (IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Learning, IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, IEEE Transactions of Computational Imaging, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, IEEE Access, UPB Scientific Bulletin – Series C) and has been a technical program committee member / organizer / chair at SpeD 2019, TSP 2020 / 2019 /2018, COMM 2024 / 2016 conferences. Moreover, she acts as an EU technical expert / evaluator for the Horizon Europe (previously known as Horizon 2020) program and NATO DIANA .
Her research interests are centered on topics of artificial intelligence, multimodal and multitemporal data analysis, remote sensing, time series analysis and change detection.
