Ways to Participate
There are 2 ways that you can participate in a group meeting:
1. Physically onsite at one of the venues (Where available)
2. Online via Zoom
With each group location that we list on this site it will show which participation method is available. Unless stated otherwise, if there is no address for the meeting you wish to attend, this means attendance is only via Zoom.
Participation Requirements
Guide Book:
Obtain a copy of the guide book “A Guide to Addiction Recovery and Healing”.
During the meetings there are stages where participants take turns to read out of the guidebook, however, it is optional.
The guide can be obtained by going to LDS Library under “Life Help” “Addiction” or by using the following link for multiple languages:

Anonymity:
We practise anonymity, which means that only a first name is ever required. Before you enter an online meeting, while waiting in the Zoom 'waiting room' you can edit your name accordingly.
Online Attendance:
We treat the online Zoom meeting the same as if you were attending a physical one where you will be seen. This means to participate in an online Zoom meeting your Zoom camera must be set to 'ON' and face seen. This is to respect all the other attendees who have their camera on.
We understand that virtual meetings are a unique setting where it may be more difficult for everyone to trust that only the group participants are able to hear the meeting. To help us maintain that trust, and our confidentiality, we ask that as an online participant, you ensure that you are in a confidential location where others would be unable to hear or see the group discussion. However, it is fine for you to have a support person there with you, but they too should be seen.
Entering the online meeting means that you agree to the above entry requirements of video 'ON' and that you will ensure that you are participating from a secure and confidential location.
A Secure Place
Confidentiality and anonymity foster honesty and help make a group meeting a safe place to participate. Therefore, we follow the Alcoholics Anonymous saying:
“Who you see here, what you hear here, when you leave here, let it stay here.”
