Math problems are easier to solve when approaching them with a growth mindset. If a student approaches a learning task with a fixed mindset, they will be paralyzed by the fear of making a mistake and not much learning will happen. I strive to create a shame-free classroom environment around making mistakes. We learn from our mistakes and this is why we need to encourage making mistakes in class when learning something new. Every mistake inspires another question to answer, another problem to resolve.
